Happy days, it'll soon be time to head out on the highway for another season of fun in Morgans. But before we do that, there may be some little jobs that want doing. To that end we're having a couple of Spring Tech Sessions. One on Mar. 24 in Surrey and one on April 8 in Victoria. Retired Morgan mechanic Dave Collis will be in attendance to offer instruction and advice at both events.
Weather in the first half of February does not get any better than we saw on Sunday for the Hearts & Tarts Run. Bright sunny skies prevailed but the chill in the air reminded us that winter isn't over yet. Five Morgans took part in the joint PacMOG/OECC event along with a large group of other English cars - Triumphs, MGs, Rovers, and more.
Steve Blake is the new Editor for the Morgan Link. He has listened to members and created more than a newsletter, it is now a magazine. Many new topics are covered and Steve is very pleased with the support he has received from members through their suggestions and submissions. It continues to be a work in progress as software is learned and formatting is improved. Watch your emails around the end of February to receive your copy of the January/February edition!
Only 2 Morgans braved the rain on Jan. 27 to take part in this year's January run. Congrats to Ken & Pat Miles and Tom & Val Morris. Two moderns joined in to keep the Morgan stalwarts company on the 2 hour run. Several others were on hand at the Artful Dodger Pub in South Langley, making for a total of 14 people for lunch.
The 2017 edition of the annual Hearts & Tarts Run Valentines event takes place on Feb 11. Meet up in Burnaby at 10:00 am to join the fun. The run is about 1 hour and 45 minutes long, including a brief rest stop. We end up in Delta, where we'll enjoy a convivial lunch at a local pub.
